$19.80 per check, per year

Pingdom’s entry synthetic bundle is $198 a year for ten uptime checks. That works out at $19.80 a year for each thing you watch, before you’ve added a second region or a browser flow.

The same ten checks cost nothing on our free plan, run from one region each (or five of them from two regions), and come with a public status page you’re allowed to use commercially. There’s no trial clock on it — plenty of our users just stay there.

Pingdom column: their published entry Synthetic Monitoring bundle — 10 uptime checks, 1 advanced check and 50 SMS alerts at $198/yr on annual billing. UptimeGlobe column: our free plan, which covers 10 monitors from one region each (each extra region counts as one more) with a status page, badge and JSON feed. Pingdom has no free plan; they offer a trial.

The thing you actually need to know at 3am

When a check fails, what you want to know is whose fault it is. Every UptimeGlobe check runs from several regions at once and the results get compared, so the alert arrives already classified: unreachable everywhere points at your origin, unreachable from only some regions points at the route in between.

You also get all 13 alert channels with no per-person fee, public status pages with badges and a JSON feed on every plan, heartbeat monitors that page you when a cron job stops running, TLS expiry warnings, and an MCP server your AI assistant can drive.

Prices move. Tell us if one of these is out of date.
